Windrock Angeleyes of Skyings
Int Ch Windrock Angeleyes of Skyings is pictured here with puppies sired BIS Ch Sobers Cadiac , both owned by Inger Johansson of kennel Skyings in Sweden. "Angie" enjoyed a successful show career winning Group and RBIS honors before stepping into the whelping box.
There is a future Best In Show winner in this litter, along with many champions carrying Inger's Skyings prefix. Spanning long years, WINDROCK LLC greyhounds have been great producers for other renown greyhound breeders in the US and abroad.
There have been many litters whelped in Europe and Scandinavia produced by WINDROCK LLC greyhounds. Additionally, several noteworthy champions have been sired by our phenomenal sire MBIS Int Ch Windrock Fernando who was exported to Scandinavia more than two decades ago. We are glad we had the foresight to save frozen semen from him!

"Ayden" was a superb greyhound that we were fortunate enough to import from the famed Sobers Kennel of Italy. His stellar career in the show ring, on the coursing field, and in the litter box revealed that he was an exceptional individual who gave much to our WINDROCK program.
I believe he was and remains to this day, the only greyhound to win Winners Dog at three consecutive GCA specialties which included two back-to-back National wins. Shown only three times as a class dog, Ayden finished his AKC championship with three specialty 5 pt majors!
Shown briefly as a special, in 2009, he won an Award of Merit at the GCA Western and also won the Stud Dog class. At the 2009 GCA National, Ayden's first crop of youngsters dominated the class placements and won 4 of the 6 majors! He has sired 3 GCA National Specialty winners from a handful of offspring.
Ayden was a gifted lure courser and won many Best of Fields in elite competition. At the 2009 GCA National, he not only won the major in the show ring, he also won the major in the event's lure course! Few greyhounds can lay claim to such an accomplishment.
Ayden had few litters during his lifetime. He was an outstanding sire and produced many Champion, Dual Champion, Grand Champion and top ranked offspring.
We remember Ayden as a kind and gentle soul, and we are grateful for the memories and wonderful puppies he blessed us with. Ayden lived 14 1/2 years and was a sound and healthy dog until he passed.
We are so looking forward to this litter with our exuberant "Pebbles". This mating has been decades in the making, and we are hoping to be blessed with beautiful puppies that embody the qualities of both of these remarkable greyhounds.

Pebbles is OFA heart, eyes CERFed and neuropathy clear
Meet our glamorous "Pebbles"! She is a granddaughter of the Greyhound breed's top champion producing sire MBIS/MSBIS Ch Shazam's The Journey Begins JC CGC. We showed Pebbles on a limited basis and she won championship points at two GCA National Specialties and finished her AKC Championship with noteworthy wins. Additionally, she is close to her AKC Field Championship title which we anticipate her becoming a Dual Champion.
Pebbles is what we like to see in a greyhound! She has superb conformation, is sound in her movements and has a good mind in that beautiful head of hers. She is a smart, biddable dog that is fun and easy to live with. She is a lady of good graces and excellent manners in the home and on the road. I imagine she will be as good a mother as her mother was.
Pebbles is a lovely reflection of her Best in Show winning dam "Firefly" She has many of her mother's wonderful attributes and has a bubbly, vibrant personality that radiates not only in the showring, but here at home. She has never met a person that she did not like, and she is enamored by children, especially little ones!
We hope to be mating Pebbles on her next season which should be around Jan 2027.

" Penny" is one of the last descendants down from our lovely "Whisper" (DC Windrock I've Got A Secret SC) and has so much of her look and personality.
Shown briefly, Penny's exquisite type and soundness have been rewarded in the ring. Lightly shown, she has BOB wins over specials and handily finished her AKC Championship with big major wins at the recent Rocky Mountain Hound Association shows. She is a good courser and has her Senior Courser certificate and AKC Lure coursing pts. Penny is a kind and affectionate girl that our 4 H kids adore and is a favorite "practice buddy".
Many of our Windrock Greyhounds have become distinguished Dual Champions and we hope she will attain that lofty distinction.
I am eagerly anticipating seeing the results of this one-of-a-kind mating.

Bullet is a 5th generation Dual Champion and has many illustrious wins on the coursing field, including Best In Field at the Grand National which is rightly considered one of the most rigorous and competitive lure coursing events in the country.

Early reservations are recommended for our 2027 puppies. If you wait until the puppies are on the ground, chances are, they are all likely reserved.
Beware unethical breeders! Kim was a 30+ year member of the GCA, the AKC Greyhound Parent Club. Both Kim and Colin are the only Greyhound breeders recognized by the AKC as PLATINUM Level BREEDERS OF MERIT. We have a long, verifiable history of raising happy, healthy puppies and have happy families who love them.
AVOID being scammed! Stay off of internet puppy sales sites! Carefully research the credentials of the breeder. We are happy to refer people to reputable parties.
WINDROCK Puppies!!
We love to hear the happy noise of multitudes of little feet racing and the wonderful smell of puppy breath.
~To cooking huge pans of nourishing meat and vegetables while an appreciative audience moans and whimpers in impatient anticipation of being fed.
~To hours of non-stop amusement observing the babies explore at first the boundaries of their whelping box and the awe and wonder of their first experience leaving the safe confines of that familiar refuge and venturing out into the vast expanse of our home.
~To visitors coming with their children and marveling at the interaction of little humans and little puppies is something that has to be seen to be appreciated.
~As we don't often have puppies, these innocent little lives are a
much-welcomed addition to our household.
~The bright times we share with them is only dampened by the profound sadness that naturally comes when the day comes that each puppy leaves to go to its new home.

A look at some of our previous matings
The Mother is our lovely "Billie" who is multiple Group-placing BIF DC Windrock Mountain Music SC, Fch. Billie's puppies came on Feb 23, 2024 and we are blessed with 7 strong babies, 4 boys and 3 girls--all brindles, save for one heavily sabled red boy! We are so impressed with appearance and vigor of these babies!
Billie is an own daughter of one of our very best, the wonder dog, Group-placing MBIF GCH DC Windrock Calamity Jane SC Fch! Billie herself in very limited outs, has multiple group placements and is a Dual Champion with a BIF win.
At the 2023 Greyhound National, in deep competition, Billie won Best Dual Champion, was second in a highly competitive Veteran's class to our Firefly, and placed 4th in the Brood Bitch competition. She is a perfect example of the type of greyhound we strive to produce!
In addition to her accolades in the ring and on the field, Billie is our go-to dog for helping us in school demonstrations and visiting the elderly. She is one of the sweetest and most gentle souls and she has an innate ability to comfort ailing individuals.
Billie has been health tested and DNA verified. This is her second and last litter.

Firefly had a brilliant show career not only in the US but also in Canada, where she was the #1 Greyhound before being called home for mating. In spite of not being shown for months, she still ended up being #2 to another WINDROCK Greyhound.
At the 2023 Greyhound Club of America National, she was Best Veteran, won one of only 5 Awards of Merit, placed 2nd in an outstanding presentation of Brood Bitches and even earned an invitation to Crufts, the world's largest dog show!
She is a Best In Show winner and a Specialty Best in Show winner, with a loving personality that has made her the best in our hearts.

A worthy son of the Greyhound breed's all-time top producing male, Homer has a sweet loving personality, and this mating has resulted in some lovely puppies.

Strider is a brilliant son of our illustrious "Amber" who was well-nigh unbeatable enroute to racking up many accolades, including winning Best In Event at the AKC National Field Trial Championships. She produced many accomplished AKC Dual Champion and Champion get and several of her puppies went on to careers as emotional support dogs and therapy dogs. We consider Strider to be her best son!
Strider himself achieved considerable success in AKC and ASFA events before demonstrating great talent in the role of working with disadvantaged children. He now works as a therapy dog for an autistic child. We feel the blending of Strider to Pickles will produce some exceptional greyhounds and have waited a long time for our plans to come to fruitation. Our fingers are crossed for puppies!!

"Pickles" is a own daughter of our top producing BIS winning Barcelona out of the lovely Snow Patrol. Unfortunately, Pickles suffered a catastrophic foot injury as a youngster and never got the opportunity to show or course. Her full sister "Kiba" did and is a MBIF Field Champion and was the Best of Breed greyhound at the AKC National Lure Coursing Championships in 2022 and 2023! Kiba was also the #1 AKC Coursing greyhound in 2022. Pickles has a zany, fun-loving temperament and we are eagerly looking forward to this mating with Strider who sired our MBIF DC Windrock Blackberry Wine SC FCh.
